Organizing Committee of 26HSKIKI, in collaboration with IUPAC, offers limited number of bursaries to fully or partially cover expenses of participation at 26HSKIKI to motivated graduate and doctoral students. The candidates should not be older than 30. Bursary covers expense of accommodation at the Niko Hotel*** for the duration of the main event of the conference (3 nights, arriving April 9th and departing April 12th, on a bed & breakfast basis), and travel costs valued at max. 60 USD. Winners of IUPAC scholarship do not pay registration fee.

IUPAC bursary assistence is intended to provide financial support to young researchers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania and Bulgaria.

The application should contain the following documents: letter of recommendation written by research/PhD supervisor, motivation letter, CV and abstract for the Conference.

The announcement of results of selection process

All applicants will be informed by email about the results of selection process on Friday, 21st December 2018. All bursary recipients are expected to accept or decline the offered bursary support by replying to the received email message, not later than 11th January 2019. The failure to respond by the deadline date will result in removal of the applicant's name from the list of qualified applicants, so their bursary support will be offered to the applicant who is next on the list, as defined by the Bursary committee. After the bursary support is accepted, the applicant has to register at within registration category „IUPAC scholarship holder“.

To each candidate who accepts IUPAC bursary support, IUPAC Secretariat will send the Claim Form. The candidate should then complete the Claim Form and return it along with supporting receipts to the Secretariat at their earliest convenience, no later than 30 days after the end date of the Conference. After the completed Claim Form is received at the Secretariat, candidate will receive their allocated amount by check or bank transfer as requested.

IUPAC endorsement implies that entry visas will be granted to all bona fide chemists provided application is made not less than six months in advance. If a visa is not granted two months before the meeting, the IUPAC Secretariat should be notified without delay by the applicant.

Oral presentations time slots
  • Speakers are requested not to exceed the provided time. The time schedule will be strictly followed in order to keep up with the program scheme.

Time schedule:

  • Plenary Lectures: 60 min (45 + 15 min questions)
  • Invited Lectures: 30 min (20 + 10 min questions)
  • Section Lectures: 20 min (15 + 5 min questions)

Speakers are requested to bring their presentation files (ppt, pptx or pdf ) on an USB memory stick to the Conference hall minimum 15 minutes in advance of their session.

Poster format

The size of the posters should not be bigger than 80 cm (wide) X 100 cm (high).
The presentation number assigned to your poster should not be placed on your poster. The poster boards will be numbered for you.

Setting-up and taking down times

Poster presenting authors are responsible for setting-up and taking down their poster. Self-adhesive pads for posting will be offered by the organizer as well as standing by their posters during the corresponding poster section. Setting-up and taking down of posters will take place as follows:

  • Day 2, 10th April 2019: from 08:00 to 18:30
  • Day 3, 11th April 2019: from 08:00 to 18:30
  • Day 4, 12th April 2019: from 08:00 to 12:30
